Charity Cup Regatta for Hospice, July 29-30, 2017

Make a difference this summer!

Mountain Valley Hospice and the Mayfield Yacht Club invite you to join us for the Annual Charity Cup Regatta For Hospice on July 29th and 30th 2017. The Regatta is a fun-filled 2-day event that offers something for everyone (sailor or not)!

If you’re a skipper and sailing is your passion, you won’t want to miss the 2 day Regatta on the beautiful Great Sacandaga Lake! For information regarding the Regatta races, visit MayfieldYachtClub.com.

If kayaking or leisure boating is more your style, join us for the famous which begins at Rondack Roots Marina in Mayfield promptly at 1pm on July 29th. This run, for boats 15’ and under, will include 5 fun stops where you can pay to upgrade your hand and the first place team will receive a stand up paddleboard! Personal flotation devices are required and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration for the Poker Run costs $20 per vessel and can be done through Rondack Roots Marina (518-613-4366). Upgrades to your hand can also be made on the day of the event.

And, of course, what would the Regatta be without the amazing on Saturday night! This year’s ‘Skipper’s Party’ will be held at Sport Island Pub on Saturday, July 29th. Party the night away with our live DJ, cash bar and silent auction and raffle items. Tickets are required for this event and cost $35 each. Cocktails begin at 5pm and dinner is served at 6:30pm. Tickets can be purchased through Rondack Roots Marina (518-613-4366) or through Mountain Valley Hospice (518-725-4545).

6 Week Bereavement Group

Dear Caregivers, Family and Friends:

This letter is to let you know about the 6 Week Bereavement Group starting soon. This group is open to Hospice families and the general public.

This is a weekly class and support group designed to help you understand and cope with your grief. The focus of the group is to provide you with education about the grieving process, mutual support and an opportunity to share.

What: 6 Week Grief Education Group

When: May: 10, 17, and 24 ~ June: 7, 14, and 21

Where: Mountain Valley Hospice – Great Room

Coffee and snacks will be provided.
