Community Services

Whatever your need Mountain Valley Hospice is there for support. We provide bereavement and grief services to schools, workplaces and other community organizations who may need assistance dealing with loss related to the death of a co-worker, classmate, family member or friend. It can be the result of a long term illness or a sudden loss such as suicide. The person does not need to have been a hospice patient to call us for these support services. We also offer support groups for those who have experienced loss.

We also offer grief services for those who have suffered a major loss not related to a death, including flood, fire or other major disaster. Speakers are available to talk to groups and organizations about grief and loss by calling our office at (518) 725-4545

Public Speaking Opportunities

Mountain Valley Hospice welcomes any opportunity to talk to your group or organization about hospice, our programs and the work that we do. We also welcome tours of our Nancy Dowd Hospice Home. Please call our office at (518) 725-4545 for more information.

Equipment Donations

While we are most grateful for your willingness to donate medical equipment that you no longer have a need for, our storage space limitations and state regulations regarding sterilization make it prohibitive for us to accept these types of donations. Holy Trinity Church in Johnstown may be able to accept your donation by calling (518) 762-2636.
